Dirty Mops

Sometimes, mopping the floor after a good party, you might notice your mop got dreadfully dirty. Sometimes you might meet some dirty mops thrown at a corner of an old club, evidences of intense night scenes. Even though these incidents are not rare, not much is known about these Dirty Mops from Berlin, which emerged in the underground music scene of Berlin in 2016.

Dirty Mops are dirty at their core, as they grew up listening to the Sonics, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Sepultura and other distorted sounds. But someday they fell in love with the primitive surf-beat, bell-tone guitars and dripping spring reverb sounds of the surf godfathers Dick Dale, the Ventures and the Surfaris.

After numerous shows in dirty locations and several lineup changes, their sound and energy were sculpted to a raw and intense vibration when the drummer Fabiano Ferronato and bass guitar player Luther Lebtag joined guitarist and singer Dgee in 2023. They created a unique style, stubbornly remaining unconventional and underground.

This is Dirty Mops! An energetic mix of surf, garage, grunge and trash. They love to groove, their energy is vigorous, their lyrics are caustic and their shows unforgettable.

In September 2023 Dirty Mops released their first album “Too Dirt to Care”. with 9 songs live recorded in studio by Thanos Karakantas during one weekend in Berlin. In December they recorded an EP of 5 Songs at the Berlin studio Electric-Arc with Killian Gilberg.

Dirty Mops Music was selected by radio producers like Jorge Spahn from the Californian Radio Free Bakersfield and John Simandiras from ERT-3 958fm from Thessaloniki. Dirty Mops toured with great success Northern-Greece in April 2024. They gave several interviews and got very positive comments on the music media. They booked several shows with emerging and well-known bands, where they gonna launch their fresh material. Till the end of the year they are intenting to go again to the studio.

Cactus for Breakfast

Meet Cactus for Breakfast, a surf rock crew hailing from Berlin — a city nowhere close to the waves but totally owning that beach vibe from '60s western flicks. Their tunes are the melting pot of western cowboy grit, bluesy soul, and the high-energy vibes of surf rock.

You’ve got Robin (Vocal & Guitar), Shane (Vocal & Guitar), Thomas (Bass), and Timo (Drums).

Formed in 2023, they are cooking up their first mini album, set to make waves in Summer 2024. They are on the lookout for gigs, from minor gigs to massive festivals. They are about to ride!

Vechornytsi:

"Ukrainian traditional parties with music, songs, jokes and rituals. Vechornytsi began in the late September after the seasonal agricultural works were over. Young people from Ukrainian villages gathered in the evenings and had parties.These were everyday and festive Vechornytsi."

Vechornytsi is inviting the community to a groovy gathering at Crack Bellmer, to showcase Music and Art by the beautiful Ukrainian artists currently in Berlin.

The goal of this Vechornytsi is to raise awareness of russia’s terrorist invasion of Ukraine, while raising money to provide direct support to various efforts taking place today Ukraine.

This Vechir will also include a tattoo booth which will be operated by our very talented friends.
There will also be a donation box at the door!
