Smoothin Groovin has the honour of reintroducing the British legend, Dennis Bovell, to Berlin, after a considerable absence, for an extraordinary DJ set in the evening and a an Q&A session earlier that day.
For an entire evening at Crack Bellmer, immerse yourself in a powerful blend of music inspired by UK Blues dances and sound system culture, featuring an inclusive musical approach that spans genres ranging from Lovers Rock, Dancehall, Soul, Disco, Rare Grooves to Hip-Hop, House, Techno, Jungle, UKG and more.
MC Mad-X (London)
MC and Sing-Jay artist Mad-X from South London, has been performing at festivals, private parties, dances, stage shows and clubs for over 20 years, both nationally and internationally. Mad-X raw and unapologetic style was cultivated from an early age in the shebeems and dancehalls of 90s South London. As an MC, Mad-X style is a great accompaniment to most music genres but is undoubtedly heavily influenced by her early days in Reggae, Dub and 80s/90s Dancehall.
Yugo d Taguchi
Yugo d Taguchi is a native of Yokohama, who became famous in Japan as the selector of the Delta Force soundsystem. After spending time in London, he moved to Berlin where he started performing as an MC. He is part of Dub Temple Japan, Team Rub-A-Dub Berlin and

Founded in 2009. Heavily inspired by rastafari and Jamaican/UK sound system culture, their sessions are a space of upliftment, connection, empowerment, sharing vibes, reasonings & music.They are passionate soundsystem heads & vinyl collectors who will make you experience Reggae Music in all it's beauty and versatility - from its foundations to recent releases.
