HIFI/LOFI are bringing the heat back at Crack Bellmer on October 18th! This time, we bring you a stellar lineup to the table : PYSH, SEIUN, and Franz Matthews will all embark you in a sonic journey going from groovy and cosmic Indie Dance, to the realms of Melodic Techno, Dark Disco, with extra hints of hi-powered Italo.
PYSH
=====
Pysh, is a Polish DJ and music producer living in Berlin. His performances have permanently recorded in the lineups of the largest Polish music clubs and festivals, sharing the stage with leading artists of the world electronic scene, such as Eelke Kleijn, Robag Wruhme, Guy J or Kollektiv Turmstrasse.
In addition to balancing between the house, indie and melodic genres in his productions, sets and live acts, Pysh interweaves ethnic and folk sounds, which are a kind of hallmark of his work, which regularly travels all around the world under the aegis of such labels like Ritter Butzke, Jeahmon, Click, or Einmusik.

SEIUN
=====
French DJ and producer based in Berlin / Paris, SEIUN's music vibrates in a mixture of groovy bass, chuggy retro synths, touches of acid sonorities and vintage percussion, forming a powerfully bassy and eclectic combo that identifies itself as indie dance / EBM / italo disco. She perceives music as a universal way to connect with oneself and others, in a trance and a journey built on the moment to let go and focus on the present.
Recently becoming a member of the Parisian collective apero notturno, she has already conquered many places such as Sisyphos, Katerblau, Renate, Kitkat, as well as Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, the Netherlands and many others. Also a producer, her latest releases are on the Club Mackan and Nein labels.

FRANZ MATTHEWS
================
Now grounded in Berlin, the franco-german music producer, DJ & Live Act likes to blend worlds together. Either wandering through cosmic, spiritual, or other mental realms, mixed with sonic influences gathered from his travels around the world, Matthews always keeps faithful to one thing : trying to make people dance, while adding something meaningful out of their experience.
His studio work also always embodies a strong sense of ethos, commitment, and attention to detail. A winning combination that’s seen him release music on imprints such as Eskimo Recordings, AEON, ROAM, Heimlich, as well as his own label HIFI/LOFI Records, while collaborating and getting remixed by the likes of Aera, Chaim, Local Suicide, The Organism…

Come through to Dial Radio’s Autumn Boogie, dance to some tunes by the radio regulars, and contribute your own songs!
The idea is to step aside from highly-curated and very personalized radio shows; anyone who’s up for providing an extended playlist of songs can pick a sonic background for a moment in the day.
Each day features four moments: morning, afternoon, evening and night. Rather than live broadcasting, anyone can suggest a playlist of songs for one of those moments, lasting between 1 and 6 hours. These songs can come from a commercial provider (e.g. Youtube, Soundcloud, Spotify), or be a bunch of files sent by email.
If you like the idea and would like to participate, you can contribute some playlists.

♫ THE JAM CATS SESSION ♫
HEY, YOU COOL CATS!
The Jam Cats live session is a dancing jam session with a different opening band each time. It carries on the legacy of old jazz mingling live sessions and DJ sets.
We want everyone to have fun, dancers and musicians alike with a stage open for early Jazz, Swing, RnB, and other fun styles to dance to with a focus on Balboa since we are operating with Bellmer Balboa. However, we are a separate event and we often cross over between different sub-genres of jazz and swing.
The jam will be run by members of the Syncopation Society to ensure that the party flows, allowing everyone to dance,
or simply sit back and enjoy the music.
DISCLAIMER FOR MUSICIANS
Coming to the JAM CATS grants you free entrance. Just keep in mind that this is a DANCE EVENT and it implies being reactive and keeping your solos short and sweet. If you are up for it, be prepared to be reactive on stage. If you want to play, make it clear and talk to one of the musicians on stage to see when is a good time to step in. There's a piano on the stage with atmospheric amplification.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
The official restrictions are lifted for now, but we still recommend doing a test before you come anyway.
It is our aim to create a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for everybody. Within the Syncopation Society, we are working to develop an anti-racist and feminist common ground. Through self-education, we are striving to recognise and stop racist, discriminatory, sexist and homophobic behaviour, as well as other forms of social injustice. We want to remove the barriers established by economic inequality. Important to us is also that the venue of the festival is accessible for people with all kinds of physical conditions.
We want to celebrate diversity in all its forms. We invite you to do the same. We seek to recognise unconscious bias and act against obvious or micro-aggressions of others. As we might not be aware of everything, please help us and let us know if you are missing essentials that you need to feel included and comfortable, or if you experience or witness an unpleasant situation. We are always available for you.
As a collective made up of musicians, DJs and dancers the Syncopation Society feels deeply that it is vital, not only to give recognition to the creators of the music we perform and dance to but to also acknowledge the world in which they lived and the struggles they faced, due to historical and structural racism. We aim to keep educating ourselves on Black heritage. Avoiding cultural appropriation requires an amount of reverence and acknowledgement of history and context. This challenge is important to us in many aspects of life.
