The Toolbox Orchestra plays African-American music from the 1920s and 1930s. Based in Berlin, the band is one of the few all-female traditional jazz ensembles in Europe. 
They originally started out with typical toolbox instruments such as the singing saw and the wash tub bass. 
Today, their unique sound consists of banjo, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, double bass and musical saw, creating a lively and unique sound cocktail that reflects the sassy and playful spirit of early jazz. 
For this special edition, the band will be joined by guest artist Nina Thaler.
