FAQs

I identify as cis-male, am I welcome here?
Yes, you are very welcome to play ping pong, hang out and be an ally. We kindly ask you to respect that the space behind the decks is exclusively for FLINTA*.

What musical styles are allowed?
Whatever floats your boat - But please be mindful of the impact your music might have on other people. Hard & fast musical styles are potentially stressful, especially in the early evening hours.

How long are the playtimes?
between 30mins and 1 hour.

Is there a dance floor?
Not really. there's a ping pong table on the dancefloor - no one's gonna stop you from dancing around it.

Can I bring my laptop and controller?
No. Please don't plug any external devices into our mixer. The open decks are for practising on club-standard equipment only (CDJs, Turntables, Mixer)

What equipment is available?
2x Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus2, 2x Technics 1210 MKII, 1x Allen & Heath xone 92.

I am an absolute beginner, can I still play?
Absolutely! We want to encourage you to familiarize yourself with the equipment, to try yourself out and to get in touch with other FLINTA* who share your passion for music.

The Berlin Modular Society is a collective that hosts bimonthly events to celebrate modular synthesizers and experimental sound. These gatherings feature live performances and diverse setups, showcasing Berlin’s modular synth scene.

On the 9th of November, we have a special program, starting with a choir from Neukölln, followed by sound structures from JacqNoise, and finishing with rhythmic beats from Leon Trimble, Vile Tensor, and Outro.

Besides dancing, feel free to ask any synthesizer questions to the musical enthusiasts on stage. Let’s keep Berlin’s electronic music culture alive!

Press: Since 2022, Laura, under the name Grenouillette, has dedicated herself to electronic music. In addition to her own releases, Grenouillette is active as a DJ in the Stuttgart and Berlin areas. With a preference for a very personal mix of house, hardgroove and techno, she has swiftly conquered many bars and clubs. Some of the more well- known ones include Fridas Pier (Stuttgart), Aeden (Berlin) and Aboutblank (Berlin). In October 2023, she launched Disco for Breakfast, a new collective dedicated to amplifying the music she love, with other female Djs. Grenouillette takes care of the booking, artwork, socialmedia and networking with others.

Lea, also known as Lealaetitia, has chosen to revolve her musical playground around the magnetic realms of house and disco since the beginning of 2023. Enveloped by the soulful embrace of house music and the vibrant pulse of disco, her sonic palette is a vibrant tapestry of rhythms and melodies. And also influenced by latin sounds. Lea has already played her music in some known bars in Berlin and Stuttgart, such as VorWien (Berlin Kreuzberg), Kante Bar (Berlin Kreuzberg) and Kap Tormentoso (Stuttgart).
